Design and implement a seamless HVAC integration experience
CityPark is the home to the St. Louis CITY Soccer Club. The 32-acre CityPark stadium district is the largest urban professional sports campus in the U.S. and the only one with a stadium, team headquarters, team store and practice facility all within the same footprint.
AC Systems was tasked with providing the entire HVAC solution for CityPark. The building required an efficient HVAC system to cover all the atypical occupancy schedules and varying ambient conditions that are present with outdoor stadiums. There are also various indoor and behind the scenes areas that need year-round conditioning. In addition, monitoring and ease of use when interfacing with such a large facility was critical in providing a responsive and easy to use system to the owner and stakeholders.
Centralized visibility and access
In addition to the mix of LG and AAON equipment, we assisted in the installation of a Mechanical and Controls Contractor to integrate both systems into a central interface for the entire complex.
OUR WORK INCLUDED
- Total tonnage: more than 645 tons of LG and AAON equipment
- Systems include: VRF, Single Zone VAV, 100% OA with Energy Recovery, Dehumidification, BACnet Integration to Niagara BAS Supervisor
- LG VRF systems was integrated natively to Tridium/Niagara to provide seamless connection to the central building automation system
- LG split systems were integrated natively though LG’s CRC Wall Thermostat’s BACnet MSTP connection
- AAONs flexible VCCX controller (used to control all the various AAON units and sizes) were integrated natively through its onboard BACnet MSTP connection
- Assist in Integrating LG VRF Systems into the Tridium Niagara BAS Supervisor systems
- Start-up of All Equipment Sold
RESULTS
A workable state-of-the-art energy efficient VRF system providing the required space humidity control, including existing equipment, while easily interfacing with central owner control and monitoring of a number of other facilities.
